Hi there; Recently in the last month or so it seems, after playing both video and audio files through vdj to obs to twitch, issues are arising that always seem to happen about 90 minutes into a live stream, starting with videos first getting choppy, then ultimately the monitor screen in vdj just goes black or green. On twitch itself, i often see a video encoding error 3000 or 1000. after 15 minutes or so, this leads to a freeze of vdj where it's just unresponsive and not communicating with obs, and then obs seems to crash too. I've chatted with some technical people at obs and they assure me that i've got all the right obs settings so i'm not overloading my macbook m2 pro 16gb. when i run vdj and obs , and play videos/music without actually streaming, it seems to be fine (having said that i haven't played back to back videos for 90 minutes to truly test it out offline). I suspect though something is up with vdj at this point, in how it's seeing/handling videos lately. Are there any vdj settings i can adjust/tweak to minimize the chances of this happening? Thanks for any suggestions

All I can say here is that I've been streaming to Twitch directly from VirtualDJ doing two three hour shows every weekend (plus popups) since 2020, running Resolume into VDJ, using green screen and a DSLR camera, using video effects extensively, playing video clip inserts on the sampler etc. etc. and it just works.
I do play full music videos as well sometimes, without issue either.
I'm not on a Mac though. Laptop PC with Windows 11.

From what I've read this seems to be a Mac specific issue

I've done everything i can i think at this point, including reviewing all my video bitrate and output settings , re installing Mac OS, and I was in vdj2024 so i've also reverted back to 2023 as i was automatically on early access (which i've since turned off in vdj settings) . I'll try this again today to see if this helps. thanks for your thoughts.

Of course OBS are going to say it's not their software (Mandy Rice-Davies Applies).

It seems to be a browser error though, for viewers. Are you streaming and watching it back from the web live?

yes...that's when i start knowing there are some issues..so vdj must be sending some error messages through and it appears on screen on twitch ..then things start going badly

No, it's a Twitch playback error (from what I've read so far). Besides, if it was a stream transmission error then it would be coming from OBS, as that's what's connecting to Twitch.
I'd suggest eliminating OBS and streaming directly from VDJ to see if you still get issues.

update..i reverted to vdj 2023 and streamed for 4 hours yesterday with zero issues, so it must have something to do with the latest vdj update(s), and yes i used obs too. i kept my mac activity monitor open the whole time monitoring it, and it was very stable this time. previously there would be these huge spikes out of nowhere randomly, causing everything to chug and choke, so to speak. i've got a ticket with support so i'll provide this info. thx for your input everyone.
